As part of the WWF Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) project, INTECUS in cooperation with cyclos prepared a study on the implementation of Extended Producer Responsibility in Vietnam. WWF has identified Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) as an important policy tool that demonstrably holds producers accountable for the end-of-life impacts of their plastic products and packaging, and promotes holistic eco-design in the corporate sector.
In this way, and by facilitating partnerships between different stakeholders and sharing best practices globally, the EPR project aims to promote and improve the uptake of EPR systems, reduce the leakage of plastics into nature, and contribute to the creation of a circular economy. The study and an accompanying strategy paper have now been published.
