The update of the federal government’s Waste Prevention Program with the participation of the federal states from 2021 was accompanied by a dialogue process to strengthen communication and networking between those involved in the implementation process. For the areas of clothing, unpackaged, reusable, public events and education, suitable instruments were developed to reduce barriers and provide impetus to motivate stakeholders and decision-makers to pay more attention to waste prevention in the future and to better implement waste prevention measures. In addition, information bases and priorities for action were developed. Together with Stakeholder Reporting GmbH, the Wuppertal Institut gGmbH, the Institut für Sozialinnovation Consulting UG and the Arbeitsgemeinschaft Natur- und Umweltbildung Bundesverband e.V., INTECUS organized and implemented the dialogues.
