On the basis of existing sorting analyses, the efficiency of different collection systems for lightweight packaging (LVP) and non-packaging equivalent to materials (StNVP) was analyzed and compared. Special emphasis was placed on the material recycling of the material fractions plastics, metals and composites. The following systems were compared: yellow garbage can, recyclables garbage can, yellow bag, recyclables bag, depot container without StNVP, recycling center without StNVP. For sorting, an ACTUAL scenario and a FUTURE scenario (all state-of-the-art sorting facilities) were considered. As a result, proposals for optimizing collection systems and sorting were drawn up.
