INTECUS accompanies pilot test of recycling garbage cans in Düsseldorf

INTECUS was commissioned by AWISTA Gesellschaft für Abfallwirtschaft und Stadtreinigung GmbH to accompany the pilot test for the introduction of the recycling garbage can in the Garath district. Starting May 10, the 8,700 households in the trial area will be allowed to dispose of other plastic and metal waste in the yellow garbage cans in addition to lightweight packaging. The trial will run until the end of April 2013. INTECUS analyzes the development of the composition of collected recyclables and residual waste and develops recommendations for expansion to the entire urban area.
